Our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, Fortune Magazine ranked the Enel Group fifth in the TOP 50 companies that can change the world, which means a great responsibility for the shareholders, employees, customers and the future generations.
That same year, the United Nations (UN) approved the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to which 193 world leaders committed themselves. This was an invitation for companies to contribute and take on the challenge of sustainable development, in order to contribute to 3 major global challenges: eradicate extreme poverty, combat inequality and injustice, and solve climate change.
With the purpose of strengthening the strategies and initiatives that respond to these objectives in Colombia, we have launched a series of initiatives and projects in 4 of the 17 objectives declared by the UN in order to leave a legacy to future generations.
