3. Recovery of the Bogota River
Ratifying our commitment to water as a resource, we are contributing to the recovery of the Bogota River, through the monthly removal of an estimated 30 tons of garbage that accumulate in the tributary and by removing more than 5,000 tires thrown into the ecosystem. In addition, we develop activities with nearby communities to raise awareness of water conservation and its efficient use.
4. Reforesting Soacha
Our intention is to reforest and beautify the areas near the to the area of influence of Enel Colombia's Compartir Substation Project, in the municipality of Soacha. This initiative was developed through a joint effort with the neighboring community, the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR) and the Municipality of Soacha, in order to contribute to the beautification of the place, raise environmental awareness in the neighboring communities, and contribute to Sustainable Development Goal number 15 dealing with the conservation of life in terrestrial ecosystems, and contributing toward the goal of recovering degraded forests and increasing afforestation and reforestation.
