As part of the compensation plan that we are developing and the Environmental License for the construction of the Soacha Compartir Substation and its connection lines, on October 13 we planted and reforested more than 1,100 trees in Soacha.
The activity took place in a hectare of the biological corridor sector of the Neuta - Tierra Blanca wetland, located in the municipality of Soacha and was coordinated by municipal and environmental authorities, such as the Cundinamarca Regional Autonomous Corporation (CAR), which carried out studies.
To ensure their growth and survival, in the face of adverse factors such as climate variations, plants with a minimum height of one meter and of good phytosanitary status were planted.
This reforestation in the Neuta wetland is a transcendental action that will provide plant rehabilitation, protection and beautification of the environment and will contribute to the recovery of the flora and fauna of this ecosystem.
In addition to planting trees, we will take care of their maintenance for the next three years, through a process in which we will involve the community (residents, schools, NGOs, environmental committees) to promote the care and conservation of trees, through days of recognition and appropriation of the sector.
Finally, we will schedule maintenance days every four months from the planting of the plants, which include cleaning, application of corrections, irrigation and fertilizers, to guarantee the appropriate conditions in terms of solar energy, soil moisture, nutrients, aeration and growth.
Similarly, in the Neuta wetland area, an environmental team has been arranged, which will carry out the respective maintenance, at the time the plantation requires it.
