A NEW MOBILITY ALTERNATIVE
It is our purpose to provide Bogota residents with efficient and sustainable solutions to improve their quality of life. Therefore, BiciCo has created a new digital platform for shared electric bicycles. It provides a solution to move faster, cheaper and it is more environmentally friendly.
This new system that we developed together with Carulla and Bycicle Capital, with Scotiabank Colpatria’s sponsorship, is very easy to use. You download the BiciCo application to your cellphone, enter your data and credit card information, and once you are at the station of your choice, you can pick a bike, scan the QR code of the back padlock, and you’re ready to tour the city. After your tour, you can leave the bike at the station closest to your destination, where you must close the padlock in order to finish your trip.
The first stations are placed at six different Carullas, and 50 electric bicycles can be used from 6 am to 8 pm. Prices vary according to use time, with a maximum rental time of 30 minutes at a rate of 2,800 pesos. You can also acquire a monthly subscription for 60,000 pesos for 4 daily trips of half an hour each.
And how does BiciCo benefit you? It allows you to move around in a faster and more comfortable manner, and you will help the environment by improving air quality in the city, while also contributing to improve Bogota’s traffic. Additionally, you do not have to constantly pedal because the bicycle is electrically powered, allowing you to dress up in an elegant suit or high heels or boots, and it will still be very easy for you to get on one of these bicycles.
