What is the purpose of this law?

That the tenant of a property is responsible for the payment of the public electricity service for the duration of the lease contract, and not the owner. This by notifying the lease contract with Enel Colombia S.A. ESP. 

What type of property does this law apply to?

Only urban housing buildings intended for residential use.

What conditions must the property fulfill?

First, there must be a contract stipulating that the payment of the electricity service corresponds to the tenant. Second, that at the time of notifying Enel Colombia of the contract, the account or the property does not have any:

• Unpaid bills.
• Claims and/or pending response resources.
• Records of inconsistencies found in the electrical installations and/or property meter.
