Economist from Universidad Nacional de Colombia with specialitazion in Banking from Universidad de los Andes, a master’s degree in Economics from Universidad de los Andes and PhD in Economics from Universidad Estadual de Campinas, Brazil.
With extensive management experience in national companies such as Empresa de Transporte del Tercer Milenio TRANSMILENIO S.A (2004-2006); President of Empresa de Energía de Bogotá (2006-2009) in which the main challenge consisted in the acquisition of assets, rights and contracts of Empresa Transportadora de Gas ECOGAS for $3.25 billion, with those assets Transportadora de Gas del Interior, TGI SA ESP, the largest gas transporter in the country, was constituted in February 2007; as General Manager of Consultoría Colombiana S. A. (2009-2010) where her work consisted in managing the termination of road contracts in Panama and doing commercial promotion before different potential clients of the energy and road sector in Colombia and Peru and as an Associate Researcher of Fedesarrollo (2011 to date) which is the first private center for economic studies in the country. In the mining and energy sector she has worked on aspects related to the hydrocarbon and mining sector; the electricity and natural gas sectors; refining and distribution of fuels; regional impacts of oil, mining and refining.
